fieldPatience is a needed virtue in Link Building and if you will review your long term goals in achieving them, all can be done by patiently doing things one at a time. Each time I visit or join a new forum, I could see members like myself participating the community to acquire backlinks or promote their site. Each time I visit article directories, you could see hundreds of new articles being submitted by various authors and writers to promote their website. Some are promoting personally like me while others are being paid or employed by a small or big SEO company promoting their clients’ websites.

When it comes to Link Building, our ultimate Google I mean goal is to have a nice PageRank (PR) and organic traffic. Thus increasing the exposure of our website, inviting more targeted visitors at the very minimal cost possible. There are many sources where we could get inbound links or backlinks and each link quality differs depending from the quality of website it is coming from. Building links takes time, lots of work, creativity and perseverance. Gaining a good PR doesn’t happen overnight. Even if you could acquire hundreds of quality backlinks in one day, you still have to wait for them to mature, like a farmer who patiently waits for the crops ready to be harvested. So is the same for the link builder who patiently waits for his links to be crawled and be evaluated by search engines; Google updates its PR usually every 3 months.

Building links is not an easy task, it requires passion, commitment and patience. A link builder is always on watch on what’s currently happening and changing in the web. It is a continuous process and along the way, not only do we build links for our website but we also build and acquire certain values. We hone our skills and judgment, improve our personal being, develop positive traits, sharpen our thinking and develop relationship with other fellow webmasters. Acquiring a good PR, getting traffic, harvesting the fruits of our labor is an achievement that gives us satisfaction knowing that what we worked for so hard are getting positive results.
