This morning while I was driving, I can’t help but notice the sticker placed on the bumper of the car in front of me. It was some sort of promotion, the design was an eye catcher and a link, URL or website address was placed at the bottom of it. One of the many things that make me smile is their so called “SEO Secrets.” Trust me, there are no SEO secrets, to be at the top position of SERP all you need to do is to follow the Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, improve your rank or PageRank (PR) with search engines, acquire good quality inbound links, place unique high quality contents in your website, write or outsource unique, useful articles while strategically placing your targeted keywords on an ongoing process, be patient and that’s it, no more no less. The use of proper titles, meta tags, headings, emphasizing your keywords by bolding and italicizing them, etc. all this information can all be obtained in the internet FREELY, it’s no secret at all, just search for it and it shall be given unto you.
It’s All About Creative Marketing Strategy
Going back to my story above, it’s all about creativity. By being creative and unique you can have an edge over your competitors. There are so many places where you can exploit, innovate and acquire quality backlinks, like web directories, forums, blogs (guest blogging), blog comments, your friends’ blog, article directories, networks, social media, paid website reviews, press releases, paid links etc. On the other hand, if you’re not good in writing, you can outsource good quality articles, there are many freelance writers out there or if you don’t have lots of money to spend with, you can ask your family members or friends to write an essay and in return you will post the articles in your site, you can also syndicate articles from article directories like ezinearticles.com.
